Puzzle

A guy brings 1000 chocolates for his sister and ten boxes as well. He asks his sister to place the chocolates in the boxes in a manner that if he asks for any number of chocolates, she can give a box or a combination of boxes to him without taking out any. If she can do it, all 1000 chocolates will be hers.

How would you accomplish the same if it were you in her place?

Answer  :

2^0+2^1+2^2+2^4+2^5+2^6+2^7+2^8+487=1000;

1 + 2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 32 + 64 + 128 + 256 + 489 = 1000;

Every box will have each above distinct number of chocolates.
